In a town where schnitzel still dominates, Fux Restaurant in Lech looks outward. The kitchen leans Asian (those familiar with Mochi in Vienna will recognise the approach), offering a welcome break from Alpine cliché. The room balances modern mountain design with an easy, unfussy feel. But the real draw is the wine.

As importers, they operate on a different level, with a Champagne selection that dives deep into the new wave of grower producers, and a Burgundy line up featuring some of the region’s most coveted names. Prices, considering the setting, feel almost fair. It’s the kind of place where the list alone can dictate the evening.
