A very long history, rich in tradition and class, has carried the Hotel Elephant from the 1500s to the present day – from its beginnings as an inn to a renowned hotel with a Michelin-starred restaurant. There is something incredible about this place.
The stellar cuisine of the Apostelstube restaurant, within the hotel, is accompanied by a spectacular wine list. Michael, the sommelier and also the owner, is not just an expert on the wines of the region, but has also dedicated a large part of the wine list to the traditional method; with an endless choice of Champagne, Franciacorta and sparkling wines from Germany, he manages to guarantee satisfaction for all lovers of this type of wine. Another of the highlights of the wine list is the depth of vintages – from Alto Adige to the rest of Italy, and renowned regions of France, one has the opportunity to drink and taste the grand classics at their best moment of maturation.
The choice by the glass is well thought out, too, ranging from wines of great elegance to wines of volume and aroma. The mark-up on the wines is well calculated, giving all wine lovers a chance to enjoy something from the list.
