Chez Noir

Located in the tiny seaside hamlet of Carmel, Chez Noir is one of the best places to dine and drink if you happen to be staying on the other side of the Santa Lucia Highlands from the 101 corridor, or are venturing south of Santa Cruz.

The wine list is deeply thoughtful, showcasing bleeding edge new-wave California wines as well as the best of France’s artisanal production, with showcase selections from Champagne and Burgundy. While the list isn’t huge, it’s very well curated and there should be something for everyone, casuals and collectors alike.
