About Basiliek
Balisiek is an elegant restaurant in a Gothic building with a lot of character, noticing the stained-glass windows and brick walls. the eye-catcher in this formal chapel is the glass ‘wine-wall’ which offers a view over the delicious bottles form mostly organic, biodynamic or natural origin. Most of the picks are nearby from around Europe and overall, with a reasonable price tag. They also serve great a various selection of wines by the glass, also a stunning sparkling from Germany.
Sommelier Anne Marie Nijhoff has selected wines from the classical world, such as France, Germany, and Italy. They also serve wonderfully, well chosen botanical (non-alcoholics). Together with her team, she carefully searches for innovative and perhaps slightly less known wines to complement the fresh and pure dishes of chef Yornie.
