Inside Hotel Britannia you will find Appetiit. Both a wine bar and restaurant, it’s possible to enjoy a meal from the same menu at both locations.

The wine bar is decorated in Nordic design with raw-material tables, a fireplace, and a view of the walk-in wine cabinet, while the bistro is more open, with bamboo lamps, Danish-designed furniture and a lively atmosphere.

Depending on your mood, you can enjoy a bottle of wine in the wine bar with a snack alongside, or linger over a dinner at the restaurant throughout the night.

The wine list centres mainly on classic French areas, with a focus on Champagne and Burgundy. You’ll also find intense heavy reds from Spain and Italy alongside fresh whites from Germany and Austria. If you have a sweet tooth, there is a selection of sweet and fortified wines with a bit of vintage depth.

The by-the-glass selection offers a range of classic producers with different styles and a few ‘outsiders,’ but I recommend sharing a bottle since the prices are very fair on the main list.
