Winemakers Dinner- Barone Ricasoli

The Ricasoli family has held a significant position in Italy since the time of Emperor Charlemagne in the 9th century, and has been associated with wine since 1141. They reside in the Brolio Castle in the heart of Chianti Classico, and they also helped protect Florence in the many battles against Siena before Italy was unified. It was Baron Bettino Ricasoli who in 1872 came up with the special formula for Chianti that is today known as Chianti Classico. Francesco Ricasoli, the current owner and president of the company, has generated new ideas and the concept of making the vineyards sustainable. This evening we are pleased to be able to showcase a wide range of wines in different styles, from the "well-known" to wines with nuances and different ages.
