Star Wine List of the Year Florida 2025 – enter now (deadline extended)
For the first time, Star Wine List of the Year will celebrate the best wine lists in Florida. Does your restaurant or wine bar deserve a Gold Star? Enter now - extended deadline to 23 March!
On 8 May 2025, Star Wine List of the Year Florida will award Gold Stars to the state's best wine lists at an event in Miami, in connection with Vinexpo America. Entry is free for all restaurants and wine bars.
Finalists in the international categories will automatically be entered into the Star Wine List International Final, which will be held in Vienna this June.

Judges
The judging panel for Star Wine List of the Year Florida 2025 includes four highly respected experts from the world of wine:
• Salvatore Castano – Best Sommelier of Europe and Africa 2021
• Kathrine Larsen-Robert – Master Sommelier
• Pascaline Lepeltier – Best Sommelier of France 2018
• Doug Frost – Master Sommelier, Master of Wine
Categories and criteria
The criteria for the jury are straightforward but not simple: vote for the most exciting wine list representing the category.
THE CATEGORIES
INTERNATIONAL CATEGORIES:
• Grand Prix
The best list of the overall competition.
• Best Long List, presented by Château d'Esclans
For wine lists with more than 600 references.
• Best Medium-Sized List 200-600 references.
• Best Short List
Fewer than 200 references.
• Best By the Glass List
• Best Sparkling Wine List
• Best Newcomer List, presented by La Bouche du Roi
• Sustainable Wine List, presented by Lingua Franca
Recognises a wine list that has put extra emphasis on the wine program’s overall impact, including vine growing, winemaking, packaging and transport. Assessed via a questionnaire during the application process.
• Best Austrian Wine List, presented by Austrian Wine
LOCAL CATEGORIES:
• Best Spanish Wine List, presented by Familia Torres
The winners in the international categories will qualify for our International Final in June 2025, where they will face off with the category winners from other countries and continents.
