Sustainable Wine List of Florida 2025 is at Mandolin Aegean Bistro, Miami

Star Wine List of the Year Florida 2025 was held on 8 May, with Mediterranean restaurant Mandolin Aegean Bistro taking the Gold Star for Sustainable Wine List.
Our very first awards event in Florida was hosted by Founder Krister Bengtsson and Miami Ambassador Jacqueline Coleman during Vinexpo America, in Miami Beach this week.
With a Greek taverna aesthetic, the Design District’s Mandolin Aegean Bistro – which unites the cuisines of coastal Greece and Turkey – has taken the Gold Star for Sustainable Wine List, a category sponsored by Lingua Franca.
The award came with high praise from judge Pascaline Lepeltier: “An extremely dedicated restaurant where sustainability is at the heart of the business, and the ethos. They are showing that sustainability is in every detail, is possible, is a drive. We need more of this type of beverage program and restaurant!”
The Mandolin team now joins our Sustainable Wine List winners from the rest of the world in the Star Wine List of the Year International Final 2025. Our global Gold Stars will be revealed in this season’s awards tour finale, in Vienna this June.
Runners Up
Silver Stars in the Sustainable Wine List category were awarded to:

The jury panel for Star Wine List of the Year Florida 2025 comprised four top sommeliers from around the world:
• Salvatore Castano – Best Sommelier of Europe and Africa 2021 (ASI)

Categories and criteria
Star Wine List judges the wine lists in several categories such as the Best Sparkling Wine List and Best By the Glass List. These categories are the same across all of the awards. In addition, local categories may be added. We have commercial partners for certain categories, such as the Best Austrian Wine List, presented by Austrian Wine. The commercial partners are, however, never involved in the selections of finalists or winners — that is completely up to our independent jury panel.
The criteria for the jury are straightforward but not simple: vote for the most exciting wine list representing the category.
The winners in the international categories will qualify for our International Final in June 2025, where they will face off with the category winners from other countries and continents.
