Miami’s Sexy Fish has the Best By the Glass List in Florida 2025
At the first Star Wine List of the Year competition to be held in Florida, the judges decided that the best selection of wines by the glass is to be found at luxury Asian restaurant, Sexy Fish.
Star Wine List of the Year Florida 2025 took place on 8 May, at Vinexpo America in Miami Beach. Star Wine List Founder Krister Bengtsson was joined by Miami Ambassador Jacqueline Coleman to present Gold Stars to our inaugural Florida winners.
Opened in 2022 and located in Miami’s financial district, Brickell, the Florida outpost of Richard Caring’s slick yet gloriously whimsical restaurant concept was awarded the Gold Star for Best By the Glass List, a category sponsored by La Bouche du Roi.
“There’s something for everyone here – and plenty of it,” said judge Kathrine Larsen-Robert MS. “So many iconic names! I’ll definitely be going next time I’m in the city.”
Sexy Fish now automatically joins winners in the same category from across the world, to compete in the Star Wine List of the Year International Final 2025. The winners of our global Gold Stars will be announced in Vienna, in June.

Categories and criteria
Star Wine List judges the wine lists in several categories such as the Best Sparkling Wine List and Best By the Glass List. These categories are the same across all of the awards. In addition, local categories may be added. We have commercial partners for certain categories, such as the Best Austrian Wine List, presented by Austrian Wine. The commercial partners are, however, never involved in the selections of finalists or winners — that is completely up to our independent jury panel.
The criteria for the jury are straightforward but not simple: vote for the most exciting wine list representing the category.
The winners in the international categories will qualify for our International Final in June 2025, where they will face off with the category winners from other countries and continents.
