Poliphonia Georgian Feast at Café Kandl
Vienna, Austria
We are delighted to welcome John Wurdeman, founder of Pheasant’s Tears Winery, together with his team from Poliphonia in Tbilisi for a very special weekend at Café Kandl - the final stop of their traveling Georgian Feast.
On Saturday 28th March, a Georgian Supra Feast will be held at Café Kandl, offering a journey through the most magnificent food and wine the land has to offer.
More than just a meal, the Supra is a centuries-old ritual that blends food, wine, music and poetry into one powerful celebration of life. It’s the living embodiment of Georgian hospitality, where guests are treated like family.
The tickets sold will be for seats at shared tables, in traditional Georgian style - that’s how Georgian food is best enjoyed. Expect juicy khinkalis, pickles, foraged herbs, stewed lamb, … served in the middle of the table over the course of the evening.
The food is paired with a generous Georgian natural wine pairing, allowing you to discover the most magical bottles from the motherland of macerated wine. The ticket is 189€ per person, including the menu and wine pairing,
John’s descriptions of the wine and food, stories about Georgia’s rich culture, tales and stories of the country will guide you through the evening.
Expect the warmest hosting and a feast for your eyes, your belly and your soul.
