Decanter Fine Wine Encounter: discover extraordinary wines in New York
On Saturday, 6 June, Decanter brings its flagship Decanter Fine Wine Encounter event back to New York for its fifth edition, assembling a global line up of leading producers and experts for a one-day, high-level tasting experience on the 60th floor, at Manhatta restaurant.
The Grand Tasting features more than 200 wines from 55 world-class estates, including Bollinger, Paul Hobbs, Frescobaldi, Williams Selyem and Pietradolce. Taste at your own pace and engage directly with the people behind some of the world’s most sought-after bottles.
Alongside the main line-up, a selection of standout bottles will be poured throughout the tasting, offering access to rare formats and mature vintages. Highlights include Ridge Monte Bello 2013 (magnum), Poderi Luigi Einaudi Barolo Monvigliero 1999 (magnum), Lamole di Lamole Vigneto di Campolungo Gran Selezione 2010, and Laurent-Perrier Grand Siècle Iteration No. 24 (magnum) – all included with a Grand Tasting ticket.
A focused programme of masterclasses explores benchmark regions and producers, from Champagne Salon and Champagne Delamotte to Super Tuscans and Napa Valley’s Heitz Cellar, led by leading voices including Master Sommeliers Carlton McCoy and Pascaline Lepeltier.
For a more intimate setting, the Winemakers’ Lunches offer the chance to dine with producers such as Laura Catena (Catena Zapata) and Katie Vogt (Pahlmeyer), with limited seats available.
Carefully curated by Decanter, this is a focused, access-driven event designed for collectors, sommeliers and serious wine lovers.
