The Plumed Horse

The Plumed Horse has long been one of the Peninsula’s destination fine dining restaurants, even more so now that Manresa has closed. Located in the cosy Silicon Valley township of Seratoga, right in the foothills of the Santa Cruz Mountains, the food is made with traditionally French technique but focuses on local ingredients.

The wine list is voluminous and very classically American, in so far as it covers a broad base of wines from around the world but, of course, a large concentration of domestic wines, as well as French classics. At nearly 3,000 selections, the list is undoubtedly one of the Bay Area’s largest, with plenty of truffles to hunt.
