About Nora’s Italian Cuisine

Nora's opened in Las Vegas in 1992, with only 12 seats and the intention to sell classic Italian cuisine off the Strip. It has long been considered a family-friendly restaurant catering to locals and visitors alike. In its new location on West Flamingo, the restaurant is now a well-oiled machine which serves hundreds for lunch and dinner.

The menu is expansive, with all of the classic dishes to pair with Italian wines. Traditional recipes like osso bucco, lasagna, and spaghetti and meatballs are here, with more unique dishes like wild boar pappardelle as particular features.

The service is no nonsense, as one would expect for a fast moving operation that has been making guests happy for decades. Expect to have a brief experience for lunch, or one over which you can linger at dinner.

The wine list is one which has been carefully curated over decades to fit the cuisine and the clientele both. Italian wines reign supreme here, with regional options like Toscana Vermentino, Gavi, and Falanghina for whites and every possible version or northern, central and southern Italian reds – the list is not for the uninitiated. They do not have a full time sommelier, but the team on the floor is well trained and can answer any questions posed.

The prices on the menu are very fair, with the intention to put a bottle on every table rather than keep a huge cellar. Those looking for older bottles may find a few examples with 10 or more years on them here. And there are some from less-favoured regions or styles, like Amarone or Campania.

They do have a well-rounded selection of American wines, but those looking for Australian Shiraz will be disappointed. Alternatively, just go forth and enjoy a great selection of Italian wines at amazing prices.
