Fredrik grew up in the small town Halmstad located in the west coast of Sweden. The passion for wine started when he moved to Stockholm 2005 determined to make a carrier in the restaurant industry. After working at many of the top restaurants in Sweden like F-12, Djuret and Operakällaren he looked outside Sweden and to Asia. 2018 the choice landed on Bangkok where he took on the role as Head sommelier at the newly opened restaurant Gaa with Chef Garima Arora. The restaurant gained their first Michelin star only two weeks after Fredrik joined the team. At Gaa, Fredrik has enjoyed completely free reigns of the wine selection, enabling him to build up a wine program, encompassing wines that he is passionate about himself such as classic cold climate wines from regions in France, Germany, Italy. 2020 he was also awarded “somm of the year” at the influential lifestyle magazine, BK Magazine’s annual award show”.
