Best Long List of the Year UK, presented by Cloudy Bay 2025
The team behind the popular (and great) Brat restaurant in Shoreditch has done it again, this time in Soho. We would probably define this as a fine-casual-dining restaurant if we could, and fine it is. With two levels of dining and bar seating on both floors, you can either reserve a table for lunch or dinner, or drop in. The cuisine has a lot of cooking over fire, just like Brat, and there are bites, small dishes and mains to choose from. With the staff knowing what they do, we simply ask them for navigation. Wine-wise, well, it follows in the footsteps of Brat but does even better – Mounta...

Address: 51 Lamb's Conduit St, London
Sparkling Wine List of the Year UK, presented by Nyetimber 2025
Noble Rot opened their doors in late 2015 and immediately hit their stride as a not-to-miss wine venue in London. Located in Bloomsbury on the quaintly historic Lamb’s Conduit Street, it’s Parisian inspired and feels as if it’s been there forever. The wine bar at the front is light and comfortable, with prize tables in the double fronted bay windows, a roaring fire in the colder months and walls adorned with the very cool front covers of their eponymous wine magazine. The restaurant at the back is cosy and inviting. The food is classic Franglais bistro fare – ideal for wine. To be honest,...

Address: 5 Trebeck Street, Shepherd Market, London
Spanish Wine List of the Year UK, presented by Familia Torres 2025
The third outpost of the justly lauded Noble Rot group has opened in Mayfair, albeit appropriately tucked away amongst the historic enclave of Shepherd’s Market. It’s perhaps their most ambitious opening, boasting two floors of restaurant, two bars for walk-ins, a small terrace and their deepest wine list yet, racked away in the original cellars on site. The restaurant menu follows their similar format: European classics from top ingredients, with perhaps a couple of Mayfair flourishes, and their ‘showpieces’ for two. It might be whole Dover sole with crab, or pink and plump roast duck in C...
