Over the last few years, Ellen Franzén has spent most of her free time studying and practising for sommelier competitions. But when she has a night off, she loves to return to these places.

    Address: Norra Agnegatan 43, Stockholm

Restaurant Agnes has quickly become an established favourite among the wine and food lovers of the Kungsholmen hood in Stockholm (and in fact this is my neighbourhood favorite). Its heart is in southern Europe with many Spanish specialities. The service staff is experienced and friendly! Downstairs you will find both the wine cellar and a separate dining room. In summer, the terrace is a great place to have a bite and a glass of wine.

International Best Short List of the Year 2021

Ett Hem is the exclusive hotel with a homely feel that also houses a fine dining restaurant. During 2022 the hotel has expanded to the neighbouring building. This has given more space to the restaurant and there are several separate rooms for dinners and tastings. The wine list is curated at the highest level with Burgundy, Jura, Italy, USA and many other gems. Please note that you cannot drop in to the restaurant, you have to make a reservation in advance.

Australian Wine List of the Year Sweden, presented by d'Arenberg 2022

The grandest hotel in the city also boasts one of the grandest wine cellars, including a bottle from the year the hotel opened, 1874. The wine list is massive and accessible in the hotel’s classic Veranda restaurant and Cadier bar, as well as in the Mathias Dahlgren restaurants Rutabaga and Matbaren.
