Tyge & Sessil is a new busy wine bar near Stureplan but with a more relaxed manner than many of the other local hangouts. Delicious small dishes are delivered by the little kitchen. Natural wines from all over the world are on the list, and the bar is especially highlighting the New World as well as the New Europe.

Grus Grus is the new wine bar opened by Tranan just next door on Odenplan in Stockholm. Snacks, small dishes and larger dishes to share are served in the cosy space. The Grus Grus wine list offers mostly wines from small scale producers, often with an organic and natural focus. But be sure to check out the shelves in the wine fridge, where unlisted treasures from the Tranan “secret” wine cellar can be found at very attractive prices.

Both a wine bar and a cosy little restaurant with an organic and natural focus in Stockholm’s Old Town. One of the longest lasting and most influential wine bars in Stockholm, led by Peter Bennyson. The wine list covers a lot of wines and is both deep and varied with older vintages. It represents a variety of countries and wine regions like Jura, Hungary and the USA.

Savant is a wine bar in Stockholm that changes profile during the day. From early morning it's a café and later in the day it turns into a neighbourhood wine bar with charcuteries and some small dishes. In the center of Stockholm’s Old Town you will find this cosy corner that used to be a furniture workshop. The historic venue has now been polished into a wine bar and restaurant with a focus on natural wines and a changing by the glass selection. Europe is the main area in the Ebenist wine list.

Tranan is a classic brasserie at Odenplan that is frequented by locals and tourists looking for genuine “husman” cuisine. But it is also a very interesting wine address. Tranan has 12000 bottles of wine in its cellar and is unique in that many of them are not on the list. Every now and then the Bordeaux, Burgundy and Italian treasures are brought up on the list.

Vina is a cosy wine bar on Södermalm in Stockholm that likes to serve wines from small producers who care for the nature. Many of the wines are served by the glass as well as by the bottle and if you’re hungry, the little kitchen produces pintxos, cheese and charcuteries as well as main dishes. The Vina wine list is heavy on the French side but there are also listings from countries like Spain, Italy and Austria.

Spritmuseum’s restaurant is worth a detour out to Djurgården. Chef Petter Nilsson, well known on the international food avant-garde scene, creates menus from the seasonal produce and inspirations. The wine list is naturally inclined and focuses on vignerons that creates their own expressions from classic appellations, as well as producers from newer wine regions.

Restaurant Agnes has quickly become an established favourite among the wine and food lovers of the Kungsholmen neighbourhood. Its heart is in southern Europe with many Spanish specialities. The service staff is experienced and friendly and the wine list boasts over 200 wines with a preference for France, backed up by Italy, Spain and the US. The wines cover both the natural and classic worlds.

Café Nizza is one of Eastern Södermalm’s hottest restaurants, serving a menu of delicious food with French and Italian influences. The bistro also has a bar and from the wine cellar flows mostly natural wines with one or two classical cousins in the mix. Café Nizza’s wine list is mostly sourced from the Old World’s wine regions.

Matbaren (the food bar) is Mathias Dahlgren’s modern bistro. A seasonal menu of magical medium sized dishes is served at tables or at the bar, for both lunch and dinner. The wine list focuses on organic and natural wines. Guests can also order wines from the cellar list of Grand Hotel.

At Rutabaga, maestro Mathias Dahlgren creates the next generation’s lacto-ovo-vegetarian menu. Produce from all over the world is used to create dishes that can be shared, combined or eaten separately. The wine list is rooted in Europe and focuses on organic and natural wines. Guests are welcome for a drink and can also order wines from the Grand Hotel cellar-list.

Volt is the cosy one-star restaurant that focuses on organic and biodynamic locally-sourced produce. The wine list is also very much in the natural line.

Vinköket or the Wine Kitchen is the cosy back pocket to Le Rouge in the Old Town. The small dishes mix memories from the Mediterranean with Swedish traditions. The wine offering mixes natural and classic wines with a knowledgeable service.

Södermalm’s new brasserie La Colline became an instant hit, sitting on the highest point of Götgatan. La Colline serves Mediterranean food in a brasserie setting, with an experienced team from the brasserie Tranan at Odenplan (the two venues share ownership). Sommelier Anna Mellfors’ expertise in natural wines is on full display with a ton of wine to go with the delicious food.

Ambar is the wine bar that likes to serve orange wines and beverages, hence the name that plays on amber. But there are plenty of other colours and types on the wine list. If you are hungry, there are delicious small dishes with touches of Japanese cuisine.
