On Oct. 9, Star Wine List of the Year Nordics Edition was celebrated during a live event in Copenhagen. Heaven 23 in Gothenburg, Sweden, won the Gold Star for Best Austrian Wine List – presented by Austrian Wine.
"Undoubtedly one of the most interesting and comprehensive Austrian wine lists outside Austria! Very detailed, in-depth, covering all possible styles, leading and upcoming producers and various back vintages too," says the jury's Piotr Pietras, Master Sommelier.
Heaven 23's wine director Andreas Hiller commented: "Our Austrian list has been recognized several times by Star Wine List but I am on edge every time there is a Star Wine List of the Year, whether it is in Sweden, the Nordics and International. We are so happy to be acknowledged for our work in this part of the world, and to be recognized by such respected jury members makes all the hard work worthwhile. Now we try harder for next year!"
Austrian Wine List of the Year Nordic 2019, International Austrian Wine List of the Year 2021 and 2022, and several Gold Stars in Sweden. Heaven 23’s Austrian selection is without a doubt one of the best there is, and now they can add yet another Gold Star to the list: the restaurant won the Best Austrian Wine List category – presented by Austrian Wine – when Star Wine List of the Year Nordics Edition was celebrated on Sunday Oct. 9.
