Expert judges announced for Star Wine List of the Year France 2025
Star Wine List of the Year France will be held on Monday, 10 February 2025 – here’s who’ll be judging our entries.
We’ll be hosting our wine list awards for France at Wine Paris in February 2025 and, with entries about to close, we are excited to announce our stellar jury panel. We have four globally recognised wine experts ready to analyse the submitted wine lists, including:
- Pascaline Lepeltier
- Nina Jensen
- Kathrine Larsen-Robert MS
- Jérôme Gagnez
The Star Wine List of the Year awards are a celebration of the best wine lists of the world and the people who have created them. We honour these teams in their own countries or regions, and then hold a big International Final, bringing all the Gold Star winners in the international categories together for one final showdown (and a party, of course).
Meet this year’s judges for our French competition.
Pascaline Lepeltier
French sommelier Pascaline cut her teeth in Brussels and Paris before moving to New York, where she has worked at the city’s top wine destinations. She is now Beverage Director at Chambers, a neighbourhood restaurant that, under Pascaline’s direction, features a strong selection of natural and biodynamic wines. In 2018, Pascaline was named Best Sommelier of France and a Meilleur Sommelier de France, and has featured in countless lists and competitions of the best sommeliers in the world. Her book, ‘One Thousand Vines’ (first published in French as ‘Mille Vignes’) is currently garnering huge acclaim.
Nina Jensen
The Danish sommelier has twice been named Best Sommelier in Denmark (2017, 2019) and twice placed second in the Best Sommelier of the World (2019, 2023), among plenty of other prizes. Until recently, Nina was Wine Director at two-Michelin-starred Alchemist in Copenhagen.
Kathrine Larsen-Robert MS
Now based in the UK, Kathrine is originally from Denmark and has worked at some of the finest restaurants in Copenhagen and London. Upon earning her Master Sommelier title in 2013, she also won the Grand Siècle trophy for the highest marks in that year’s exams. In 2014, she won the UK Sommelier of the Year contest and is now Head of Wine, Europe for the wine-focused private members’ club 67 Pall Mall.
Jérôme Gagnez
We are pleased to welcome Jérôme to Star Wine List for the first time, as our local expert. Based in Bordeaux, Jérôme is a wine writer, the host of France Inter’s 'On va déguster' radio show, and founder of Vers Le Vin, a wine events company.
