Vyno Vieta

“Vyno vieta” means Wine place in Lithuanian and it is a very apt name for a small wine bar based on the fringes of Vilnius city centre. Being away from main tourist roads and attractions it has quickly established itself as a cozy neighbourhood spot. One big and a few small tables coupled with a huge TV makes it a perfect place for a private tasting or watching basketball game with friends. During the warm season Vyno vieta also has a spacious street terrace.

The wine selection is not particularly huge but represents most key wine regions from around the world and contains some gems at great value. The list is balanced between bigger well-established producers and some small growers including few from the natural wine camp. Focus is on mid-range priced offerings, but you can find some premium bottles as well. Both by the bottle and by the glass selections are changing which keeps the place fun and interesting for regular guests.

Food-wise: there is a possibility to order some charcuterie or cheese platter and almost every week they do themed pop-up evenings with other local projects or chefs, like artisanal pizza maker, oysters, pastrami or tacos.
