About The Moorcock Inn
The Moorcock Inn is a restaurant and country pub nestled at the bottom of 250 acres of active moorland in Sowerby Bridge, West Yorkshire. All the kitchen produce is from Yorkshire, with fruits, veg, wild mushrooms and game specifically their own organic plot, and cooked over fire. The restaurant section is small so to avoid waste they only offer a tasting menu. The pub is more relaxed - a traditional English Freehouse with oak beams, wood burning fires, a separate à la carte menu and no reservations.
About the The Moorcock Inn Wine List
The wine list is an impressive size for a pub – around 150 bins - and reflects the quality of the produce and ethos throughout with a focus on natural wines from small producers. Nevertheless you'll still find both classic and more unusual styles. They offer plenty by the glass and carafe too. And in case you should forget that you're not in London, just look at the prices. Markups are very reasonable indeed and there are almost a dozen bottles of red/white under £25, which is also the price at which the Sparkling section starts.
£15 per bottle if nothing bought from their list. The odd addition to purchases will be free.
