Sheng Yong Xing is a famous Peking duck restaurant brand from Beijing. Their first Shanghai outpost is located in a historical building, Bund No. 5, in the prestigious Bund area. The must-try dish is of course the signature roast duck. It comes with an identification card for each duck, so that you can trace its source. You can enjoy the table side duck carving service with an amazing view of the Bund and Lujiazui from the windows. The wine selection is curated by Arneis Wu, a champion sommelier and the wine consultant of Sheng Yong Xing group. The wine list is concise with 150 references but very well selected. It is divided into different price ranges with pairing recommendations within each range. Other than their regular wine list, they’ve also allocated some distinctive vintages to a small, secret wine selection.
