About Namsan Winery
Namsan Winery is a Portuguese wine bar and restaurant located in a two-story townhouse on a back alley of Gyeongridan in Seoul. Taxis will not be able to drop you off in front of the restaurant. Instead, you need to give them the location of Donga Pharmacy on the main road. The space is cosy; wine barrels, corks turned into wall art and empty bottles lined up along the bar. You're always greeted with a smile, usually by the owner Taehyeon Gwon himself. The place is a hub for Portuguese wine in Seoul; post a picture from here, and you’ll get a message from someone in the Portuguese wine industry just saying hi to the Taehyeon.
The food is all Portuguese and tastes homemade, like grilled octopus and bacalhau. Namsan Winery is genuine and unpretentious and the kind of place where you quickly feel at home and hang out until closing – ending the evening sharing wine with the owner.
About the Namsan Winery Wine List
Namsan Winery import all their wine themselves, and Taehyeon regularly goes to Portugal to pick wines himself. The wine list is extensive with classical, organic and biodynamic wines in all price ranges. Along with wine wines such as Pardusco PRVT, Vira Cabecas and Muros Antigos Espumante, you can also find Port, Moscatel and Sherry.
