Maizal is permanently closed.

Located at the beautiful historic downtown of Puebla City and within the boutique hotel called La Casona de los Sapos, Maizal is the project of the Nates' brothers. Daniel, the chef, and Antonio, the sommelier, seek to exalt the local ingredient, looking for recipes that have been forgotten and creating a cuisine around seasonal ingredients, with a tasting menu and the possibility of pairing.

The beverages menu is radical because you will not find anything commercial, neither in beer or spirits, much less in wines. The idea is to get people out of their comfort zone and find a new drink that makes them widen their view. The idea is to get the guests carried away by the experience.

The wine lists contain wine from many different countries and production methods, all very food-friendly and quite hard to find in Mexico.
