What a better spot could there be than sitting at a nice table on the Place de la Bourse, facing Bordeaux's famous water mirror?
This place is run by the owners of Château Angelus, which you can get by the glass or as part of the wine pairing. Former three-Michelin-star Arnaud Donckele’s sous chef, Bertrand Noeureuil, has taken over the kitchen with an incredible cuisine to match the nicely-curated wine list (for all budgets).
An extraordinary wine list awaits. There are pages devoted to celebrated appellations such as Burgundy, the Rhône and the Loire Valley but the focus is, unconventionally, an in-depth selection of Bordeaux producers and their back vintages. The excellent Champagne list will also impress.
Top tip: make sure to book in advance to secure a spot.
