This modern and relaxed restaurant is located in the Red Dot Hotel in the Central District of Taichung City, which is also the most historic part of downtown. Chef Raymond used to work at Joël Robuchon in Taipei and London, and now, he is leading his young and talented kitchen to create French cuisine with a Taiwanese twist.
The pastry chef, Ting-Ting, completes the dining experience with her amazing desserts. If you want to watch the kitchen in action, you can sit at the kitchen bar, otherwise enjoy a comfortable booth.
L'ARÔME Wine List
The brilliant wine list is created by sommelier Mars Chen, who's also studied vinification in Australia. That is visible in the smaller producers represented on the wine list, as well as the organic and biodynamic selections; such as the popular Jauma wine, Taiwanese sparkling wine, Weightstone winery, or even a good local sake and shochu. My advice: ask for a pairing with every dish!
