About Grono Mokotowska
Grono is a wine bar that is orthodox in its approach, primarily due to the limited space, which has been cleverly and beautifully designed within just 30 square metres. More guests can be accommodated in the warmer months, when outdoor tables are set up, and that’s the only time you can sit lower down because, inside, it’s all high stools. The location is fantastic, right in the city centre, essentially at the intersection of Mokotowska and Wilcza streets, surrounded by tenement houses, with little traffic and wide sidewalks. It’s a neighbourhood spot frequented by local regulars but, due to its position and quality, it attracts anyone who enjoys wine.
About the Grono Mokotowska Wine List
Grono is both a wine shop and a wine bar, and it successfully combines these two functions without sacrificing design or the pleasure of being around beautiful things. The wine selection is from the Vini e Affini importers (and owners of Kieliszki na Próżnej), meaning it’s focused on Europe, with possibly the broadest high-quality selection of Italian wines, though they also carry wines from other countries. The wines are classic in taste, with a low-intervention approach, but without a stylistic lean towards natural wines.
The glasses used are Spiegelau ‘Definition,’ which make it easier to order serious wines – not always obvious in such a casual wine bar setting.
