Glou Glou Vinbar

Pierre Norrby opened the doors to Glou Glou Vinbar in spring 2024, on the corner of Apotekaregatan and Storgatan in Linköping. To have his own wine bar is a dream come true – and the local wine lovers couldn’t be happier! As the name indicates, there are a lot of easy-drinking wines here.

If you pop in for a quick glass of wine, you might find yourself wanting to stay the whole evening – the atmosphere is personal, and the food served is well prepared. The menu isn't huge but there's something for everyone, with several small dishes and a few larger mains; produce is often sourced from smaller and local producers. In summer, the courtyard (shared with other establishments including the beer house, Backen, where Pierre previously worked), is a great spot to enjoy your visit.

When it comes to wine, you can expect to find many small, artisanal producers and unique wines you might not have encountered before. For example, att one of our visits we tried an Ukrainian wine made from the Odessa Black grape, not something you try very often. Natural wines are close to Pierre's heart, which is reflected in his list – you'll find a lot of wine produced in a sustainable way here. Thanks to his own import business, many of the wines are handpicked through that channel. And don’t hesitate to ask about the wines – the staff members are knowledgeable and happy to share the stories behind the bottles.
