Deilig

Deilig is a wine bar gem in the centre of Varberg on the Swedish west coast. The solid bar counter is the room's focus, and here you can start browsing the nicely composed wine list while listening to vinyl records. Deilig is run by the couple Marelius Moen - who we've previously, among other things, seen as sommelier and beverage manager at Territoriet in Oslo - and his partner Anna Marxén. The atmosphere is welcoming and warm; a place that really manages to make wine fun.

The wine list is constantly changing, with most wines on the approximately 25-page long list only available in small volumes or single bottles. If you fancy something specific, just ask the staff - they always have a lot of bottles that are not on the list, both by the bottle and by the glass. The food is simple but very tasty, focusing on quality ingredients from small local producers.
