About Cell
Cell is permanently closed.
Directly on Kurfürstendamm, in the heart of Berlin’s Charlottenburg art district, the guests of the Cell dine surrounded by open, geometric blacksmith work – an illusion of cells in cells. The completely open concept with direct insight into the work of the chefs combines the modernist forms of Bauhaus design with the vibe of a contemporary French fine-dining restaurant. The paintings by famous Russian artists Dmitry Provotorov, Kirill Chelushkin and Vitaly Pushnitsky are also impressive.
Liam Valentine Faggotter took up the position of Executive Chef in the Cell Restaurant in August 2019. After settling in Berlin, Australian-born Liam worked as a sous chef under Max Strohe in the renowned restaurant Tulus Lotrek in the German capital before switching to Cell.
About the Cell Wine List
The wine list, curated by sommelier Pascal Kunert, offers over 400 different wines, including classic vintages and a large number of wines from organic and biodynamic cultivation. Thanks to the Coravin Wine System, Cell can offer special, flexible wine pairings that allow guests to explore a wide range of bottles. Cell's wine list was recently awarded the Wine Spectator's 2019 ”Award of Excellence” – only six restaurants in Berlin made it onto this special list.
