Hidden away from the main street, Cache Bistro is a small wine bar and shop in the heart of the ‘Manzano’ (block) with the feel of a secret garden. Wines are all on display as you walk through the rooms of the converted townhouse. Although the focus is on Mendoza, there are plenty of small brands and diverse varieties that keep it interesting. The menu is tapas-style with a few larger plates coming from the grill and hearty sandwiches for hungrier clientele.

Doubling up as a wine shop, the ‘wine list’ is all on display in front of you, decorating the walls of each room in this large house. The majority of the wines come from Mendoza, the heartland of Argentine wine, although there are some outliers from beyond. There’s a good range of sparkling, rosé, white, and red, so you can pick out an interesting bottle, although options by the glass are limited.
