Bastard is permanently closed.
In gamla väster, the “Medina” of Malmö, lies the ever so popular Bastard. Since its opening in late 2009 it has been the point for accessible yet interesting wine and food. As it draws inspiration from places as St. John’s and the likes, Bastard also stands firm on its own merit with an ever-changing wine list, midsize courses and an impressive cocktail bar.
Note: Bastard is closed, but early spring 2021, Ruth's will open in the same location!
About the Bastard Wine List
A strong line of sommeliers has worked at Bastard since its opening hence a solid foundation of width and edge. A small but varied list with entries from their own import, which mostly focuses on artisanal wines from Australia and Austria, is found together with bigger names from Burgundy or Jura. Swing in during the late hours, pop a nice bottle and enjoy a dessert. A perennial favourite activity among restaurant workers in Malmö.

The behemoth of fun wining and dining in Malmö. Midsize courses, amazing cocktails, craft beers, great desserts, stone oven pizzas, elegant design. And wines. Lots of it. A great outdoor patio to boot.
