About arkhé
arkhé is Norwood's shiny new neighbourhood bar and restaurant. Opened by Jake Kellie, former head chef of Michelin-starred restaurant Burnt Ends in Singapore, the venue is located on the ground floor of 127 The Parade's heritage-listed two-story site. arkhé is defined as the origin of all things – fire, mirrored in StudioGram's award-winning fit-out.
They use texture, darkness and light to nod to the menu: all things cooked over wood fire with no gas or electricity in the kitchen, combining fine dining with something primal; a celebration of the absolute best local produce. Their fun, constantly evolving and approachable wine list celebrates Grower Champagne, boutique producers from the old and new world, and boasts an impressive 41 wines poured by the glass. They have a tipple to delight sommeliers and wine lovers as well as your average Joe, pouring anything from traditional to eccentric wines from Corsica and Syria to Chile and back to our South Australian soil.
Expect fine dining staff with a sense of humour and classic cocktails with a twist, created by a bar team led by award-winning Bar Manager Vanessa Rech.
