Allelo

From restaurateur power couple Jeanna and Shawn Damkoehler, Allelo is an Aegean-Mediterranean fine dining destination on Beach Drive, the idyllic stretch of waterfront real estate fronting the water in quickly-growing downtown St. Petersburg.

Like its cuisine, Allelo’s wine program focuses on a small but tight selection from the U.S. and Mediterranean basin, ranging from crisp, fun Txakoli and delicate Provençal rosé, to Piedmontese Sauvignon Blanc and Willamette Valley Chardonnay. One of my favourite wines, a 1994 Cabernet Sauvignon from Portuguese producer Quinta do Poço Lobo was recently imbibed with great results.
