Next to the main square Uppsala has a little jewel of a wine bar, Vinbaren i Uppsala, according to wine writer Anders Melldén. The Coravin is used plenty with both DRCs and odd Bulgarians. Very good staff who loves wine. With the wine you can order charcuterie or cheese.

Wijnjas classical wine cellar restaurant is related to the Wijnjas cheese store not far from it, and there are plenty of cheese connections on the menu. In fact, if you are a fan of cheese, this is a must visit in Stockholm - nowhere else has this kind of selection. The cuisine is classical and very very wine friendly.

Tyge & Sessil is a busy wine café or wine bar near Stureplan in central Stockholm but with a more casual manner than many of the other local hangouts in this rather posh part of town. Delicious small dishes are delivered by the little kitchen. Tyge & Sessil is one of the foremost natural wine places in Stockholm, and sommelier Maximilian Mellfors is the creative dynamo behind the place.

For years, Restaurang AG has been one of the best steak restaurants in Sweden, led by celebrity chef Johan Jureskog and sommelier and partner Klas Ljungkvist. The place is often packed so be sure to make a reservation. The venue used to be an old silver factory - hence the name and the industrial feel. The friendly and professional staff will make you feel home and it is also a good place to bring your kids.

The Swedish Chef of the Year 2012, Klas Lindberg, opened his dream bistro in 2016 and the accolades did not wait. The food is Swedish and superb and the wine list is superb and from all over. Since August 2018, there is also a separate bar and dining room across the portal(!) from the restaurant.

Ferdinand Vinrum means Ferdinand wine room and it is indeed a room hidden beneath a restaurant at party square Stureplan in central Stockholm. The wine bar is led by experienced sommelier Hans Wejnefalk-Larsson, with both top Stockholm and London wine bars and restaurants on his cv. The extra bonus for party wine people - it is open until 3 AM on weekends.

German Wine List of the Year Sweden, presented by Wines of Germany 2019
Farang takes guests on a journey to Southeast Asian cuisines. The restaurant is located in an old factory hall and the rustic backdrop contrasts with the warm atmosphere. The restaurant is decidedly high end - great food. The bar in the front is cool and serves simpler dishes. For a fine dining lunch experience, this is one of my main choices in Stockholm.

Experienced sommeliers Béatrice Becher and Jonas Sandberg opened the Stockholm wine bar they wanted to visit themselves in this eastern Södermalm part of town. The name plays on the French word for madness, Folie. As you'll see on the interior, it’s loosely related to Territoriet in Oslo. Folii is one of the best wine bars in town and they have won our wine list competition in the By the glass-category several times. There are tasty small dishes on the menu and if you are eager for a more full meal - drop in to their restaurant next door: Voisine.

The new Bank Hotel in central Stockholm has an ambitious restaurant, Bonnie's, with a menu from Europe’s coastal cities. As the name implies, this used to be a grand old bank building. The hotel has a luxury feel to it and several small bars along with the restaurant in the center of the building.
