All this restaurant's produces come from the area of Berlin and its neighbouring regions; If it does not grow around here, it won't be on your plate. That is the simple philosophy for this venue, one of the best addresses in Berlin. You will either have a seat at the long table by the kitchen or, if you're a group, at your own long table with the host himself. Once inside, you will forget that you are indeed a few steps away from Checkpoint Charlie. Please reserve your seat well in advance!

Concept Riesling is located in the public market at Carlsplatz, which is a vibrant daily market in the old town area. The market is one of the most popular local destinations, with food shopping, flowers, special stall for meats, cheese, olives and spices. The gentleman behind Concept Riesling, Philipp, has been collecting wines and buying private cellars for years, and eventually decided to open up a location in the market. The shop is also a wine bar, and you can drink glasses or bottles at the stall in the market, or buy bottles to take away. The fun part is that these guys have a reserve...

Lead by two of the most prominent sommeliers in Berlin, Willi Schlögl (ex Petit Felix and Cordobar) and Johannes Schellhorn (ex Nobelhard & Schmutzig), Freundschaft (which means friendship in German) has become THE wine place in Berlin. Nestled in the student area of Berlin in Mitte, next to Unter den Linden, Freundschaft makes you feel right at home. Their bar looks like the long dining table where your family and friends would meet up around a glass or two or a bottle of wine, discussing the world. But for me, the main attraction is the large window facing the wine cellar! One more thing! T...

This is pretty much the only wine bar on a more world-class level in town, with a great wine list and fair prices. The bar is always packed and bustling, a great ambience. If you go there on Mondays, you’ll find a lot of people from the industry sharing bottles and stories. The food is a kind of very elevated bar food, with small plates and charcuteries. The place is run by two Austrian kids who are very interactive, fun and good looking. Just a great place to hang out!

The hotel and restaurant PURS is the first public space the Belgian designer and architect Axel Vervoordt has designed as an overall project - and it is safe to say that he truly outdid himself. Each room has been individually designed and carries Vervoordt’s unconventional signature, with a stylistic and formal idiom that connects history to modernity. PURS stands for purity and authenticity. A good cuisine should be amazingly simple, with a connection to the region where it is based, and above all – delicious! At the PURS, you can expect craftsmanship, a kitchen that reveals its affection f...
