    Sparkling Wine List of the Year Sweden, presented by Nyetimber 2025

    For years, Restaurang AG has been one of the best steak restaurants in Sweden, led by celebrity chef Johan Jureskog and sommelier and partner Klas Ljungkvist. The place is often packed so be sure to make a reservation. The venue used to be an old silver factory - hence the name and the industrial feel. The friendly and professional staff will make you feel home and it is also a good place to bring your kids.

    Top chef Stefan Karlsson has created a warm and cosy fine dining restaurant, rewarded with a Michelin star. The food is built on a Swedish tradition and you can order either a la carte or several tasting menus. There are wine pairings to go with the tasting menus but do not miss the wine list at SK Mat & Människor.

    Högfjällshotellet dominates the ski resort Sälen with its 13 restaurants and bars. Three of its restaurant has been ranked in the top five in Dalarna by White Guide. Högfjällshotellet’s wine list has an impressive number of wines from many classical wine regions such as Burgundy, Mosel and Wachau.

    Operakällaren in Stockholm’s Opera House is probably the most beautiful dining room in Sweden. And the service is like a scene from the Opera stage, professional, classic and warm. The menu has shifted with the arrival of the chefs from 2-star Aloë, less classical French and more Asian influences have arrived at the scene.

    The grandest hotel in the city also boasts one of the grandest wine cellars, including a bottle from the year the hotel opened, 1874.     Swedish master chef Tommy Myllymäki opened the grand fine dining restaurant Aira during the hard spring of 2020 when things were looking really bad for the dining scene.
