Swedish Wine List of the Year Sweden 2024
Sankt Jörgen Park is an upscale hotel and spa resort on Hisingen, about 15 minutes from central Gothenburg. Here you can relax next to outdoor and indoor pools and enjoy several restaurants and bars, including Inez & Ernst, the main dining room. A golf course is just next door. The hotel and restaurant has a varied and eclectic wine list and a plot of solaris grapes planted on the front lawn slope. We look forward to coming back to try the house wine.

Draken is the cinema at Järntorget in Gothenburg where I went to see movies as a kid - the Star Wine List Empire Strikes back dates me! The beautiful movie theatre remains as a stage but is now part of the Draken complex with restaurants, bars and a beautiful highrise hotel with a view over the port of Gothenburg. Named after a historical brothel and restaurant, the modern version of Suggan Vinbar is a casual and cosy neighbourhood wine bar in Majorna. There is a small bar, but most patrons are seated at tables that you can reserve in advance. The kitchen serves a small selection of tasty dishes while the wine list is filled with wines from the more natural sphere. Nice atmosphere and mixed audience.
