About Nook

Nook is permanently closed.

The much loved neighbourhood restaurant Nook has left eastern Södermalm for a much bigger space at the other side of the island. Although the space is larger, restaurateur Alexander Bäckman is shooting for the same feeling as in the old space. Downstairs you’ll find the proper restaurant with wine cellar and chefs table. Upstairs are the bars with tasty small dishes and on one side you’ll find street food and take away at Nook Market.

Wine-wise the offering has grown too, but you will still find classics from Italy, France, Germany and Austria on the list, often with age and at friendly prices. In the old hoods Nook were neighbours with favorites Café Nizza and La Vecchia Signora. At the new address the wine bar Gemla is around the corner. Perhaps there is a new Södermalm hotspot in the works.
